Bumper Blyton - The Improvised Adventure

The picnic hamper's packed full of parody, ready for a riotous improvised spoof in the style of Enid Blyton! The show offers a hilarious tongue-in-cheek homage to Blyton and her work, to be enjoyed by everyone aged 12+ or anyone who can remember being that age. Unique and just for you, the cast spin an entirely new adventure for grown-ups using hand-drawn audience suggestions and inspiration from the most treasured Enid Blyton classics - so cast yourself back to the 1940s when you could delight in lashings of ginger beer, get a mouth full of tongue sandwich and get your lips round a nice spotted dick!

Created by Amy Cooke-Hodgson (founder of Edfringe and West End hit Austentatious), and Jonah Fazel (BAFTA winning History Bombs), Bumper Blyton is chock full of innuendo and lashings of puns, performed in vintage costume with music and songs.

It's an anarchic parody of the books everyone loved as a child, such as The Faraway Tree, Mallory Towers and of course the Famous Five, with a multi-award-winning cast of some of the UK's best-known improvisers from stage and screen including The Comedy Store, Showstoppers the Improvised Musical and TV’s Doctor Who.

Featuring an Eton Mess of award-winning comedians including:

Dan Starkey - Doctor Who, Katherine Tate’s Nan (BBC), Monsters V Aliens (CBBC)

Amy Cooke-Hodgson - Chortle Award winning Austentatious (Savoy Theatre, West End), Little Boy Blue (ITV)

Susan Harrisson - Oliver Award Winning Showstoppers (Lyric Theatre, West End), Class Dismissed (CBBC)
