Jiant Jigsaw Jamboree

Wednesday 9th August, 2.30pm

Excuse the spelling – we couldn’t resist it!

Young and old love the challenge, beauty and fiendishness of jigsaws, which this event will celebrate. There will be buying opportunities, competitions and fun for everyone.

It’s partly a fund-raiser for good causes, including Safe and Sound Dorset, which supports women who are isolated and at risk, and Home Start, which is a local independent charity offering friendship, advice and practical support to families.

It’s also an event to raise awareness of Soroptimist International and what local members are doing to make a difference locally, nationally and internationally.

Squashbox Theatre presents

Tales from the Trees

Friday 11th August, 4pm

Let Squashbox Theatre be your guide to the tremendous world of trees, from branch to leaf and twig to root, from berry to blossom and bark to fruit!
Meet Craig, the friendly Forest Ranger and resident tree expert. It’s his job to make sure the woods are a peaceful and happy place, but he’s having a tough time of it today! A cheeky squirrel has stolen his Chocolate Covered Nutty Snack Bar™, his niece ‘Little Red’ has wandered off the path on her way to Granny’s house, the mysterious old Wizard of the Woods is playing tricks again, and there are even rumours of a big bad Wolf in the forest!
