The story of Roald Dahl’s classic tale is told by James and the insect characters - Miss Spider, Old-Green-Grasshopper, Centipede, Ladybird and Earthworm. A tour guide brings a party of tourists to see the major attraction - a giant peach in Central Park, New York! James and his friends tell the story of how they came to live in New York - and so the epic tale begins! Presented by Dorset Drama Academy’s Junior and Intermediate Acting Students. This amateur production of “James and the Giant Peach (Wood)” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.

Based on The Good Old Days TV show, with Master of Ceremonies Michael Rustici using many long words to introduce the acts. A good selection of performers - dancing, singing and comedy. Some well known old songs to singalong with too, some with words in the programme. Come along and settle in at your chosen table with a glass of wine or beer, or indeed a tea or coffee.

Circus Berzercus - A Komedy of Errors

Circus Berzercus visit with their fantastic family show, A Komedy of Errors.

Starring Gerald the gentleman juggler – precise, short tempered and vain, and Wallace the circus trainee – inexperienced, irreverent and childlike. When Gerald’s juggling partner walks out on him, he asks the agency to find a suitable replacement. Enter Wallace... cue chaos. With Wallace around, Gerald will need all his years of showbusiness experience to keep the show on track! 

Suitable for all ages. Expected running time 70 mins.

Keen to boost his flagging career, a fading Hollywood action hero arrives in England, only to discover he is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Acting worlds collide as the egotistical star finds himself performing with a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs desperate to save their village theatre from developers. Can the ailing hero overcome his insecurities and find his inner King Lear?

This production is performed in association with Allendale Community Centre by Grass Roots Theatre Company.

Expect to hear all the biggest commercial hits and also some defining album tracks from their epic back catalogue.

The band is supported on the ‘decks’ by hot veteran DJ ‘Young’ Peter, who's been Jockin’ around the country since the 70s.

The authentic and approved sound of classic 70s QUO! In answer to overwhelming support, former members of John Coghlan’s Quo Mick Hughes, Rick Chase, Pete Mace and Russ Chadd have reformed under the name of QUO CONNECTION.
JCQ, featuring ex-Status Quo drummer John Coghlan had been in existence for twenty-five years in various forms, and their final gig with John Coghlan on the 24th of September 2022 was quite aptly played at Butlin’s in Minehead where the Quo story first began. Playing many of Quo’s hits plus some incredible album tracks, Quo Connection are eager to bring their high-octane show to you!

Punks and Rockers Unite To Honour Friend’s Memory in aid of Cancer Research UK for the fourth year…. Faren 'Fazza' Short was obsessed with music and particularly live music, attending thousands of gigs throughout his life, supporting national and local bands. Faren died in 2021 after a brave and dignified battle with cancer; his legacy is one big party to celebrate his life, featuring bands that Faren himself, we believe, would have approved of.

We're pleased to welcome Ratrace back to the Allendale and we know you are too - it's always a packed house when they visit! 

Ratrace are the UK's ultimate 9 piece Ska band playing tunes from Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Beat and more. The show also features SW20 Radio Ska-Plus Live with Andy Dubberley. A great night out to beat the January blues!
