Minster Market @ the Allendale - stallholder information
Thank you for your interest in the new Minster Market @ the Allendale. This is an exciting new venture for the Wimborne & District Community Association, and we're looking forward to continuing the long tradition of having a Friday morning market at the Allendale Centre.
The Minster Market runs throughout the Centre, including the Minster Hall and the Quarter Jack Hall.
There's a variety of stalls available as well as two smaller rooms that can be booked exclusively.
Minster Market @ the Allendale – new from Friday 17th July 2020
Stall holder access time: 7.30am (Possible access available to set up Thursday evening – TBC)
Market opening time: 9am
Market closing time: 2pm
Stall clear down required by: 3pm
Parking for stall holders: There's a small amount of parking directly next to the Allendale Centre that can be used by stall holders for unloading on an ‘as available’ basis. There is ramp access to both front and side of the building. Once unloaded, we request that stall holders move their vehicles to the public car parks (Allenview car parks) situated to the side and back of the Centre (these are Council car parks; fee payable at meter). This allows customers to use our car park throughout the morning and encourages more visitors to the Centre.
Stall availability: There's a variety of stalls available; we're happy to discuss individual stall requirements and will do our best to accommodate, within reason.
Storage: We have very limited storage available at the Allendale (under-stage area and cupboard in corridor). If you have a storage request we'd be happy to discuss and look at available options. Please note – all storage will be chargeable.
Rates: from just £10 per stall per week (first 4 weeks, starting 17/7/20). Please enquire.
Rates will be reviewed prior to January 2021. Any other requirements to be discussed and agreed.
Deposit: A deposit of 1-month's stall costs will be required. Stall costs will be invoiced on the 1st of each month and payable within 7 days of invoice. Payment can be made by bacs, card or cash.
Stall Exclusivity: Please note that there will be no exclusivity given to any products within the market. However, we will manage the stall allocations to ensure that the market provides a good range of products for our customers, and will not locate similar stalls next to each other.
If you have any further questions about the Minster Market, please do contact us on 01202 887247, email or pop into the Centre for a chat.
All community areas are the responsibility of the Allendale Community Centre to manage and, for your reassurance, here are the steps we've taken to keep everyone who enters the building as safe as possible.
Whole building sanitisation – every room and all equipment within the building has been sanitised with an anti-bacterial fogging spray prior to the centre reopening on 13/7/20.
Single entry point – public entry into the building will be restricted to the main front entrance.
Hand sanitisers – there is a sanitising stand at the entrance to the Centre and we will ask everyone entering to utilise this.
One-way system – there is a signed one-way system throughout the building to ensure social distancing can be observed and to avoid crossover of people in narrow areas such as corridors.
Signage – signs will be used throughout the building to help guide people around and advise of actions to be taken i.e. how to wash your hands / safety advice etc.
Toilets – each block of toilets now has a lock on the main door, will be accessible by one person at a time and will be unisex. Within each block there will be a dedicated cubicle for females and a dedicated cubicle for males. Where multiple sinks are in the toilet block, only one will be available for use to allow focused cleaning.
General cleaning - daily cleaning of the whole premises will continue with antibacterial products used throughout. This will include all door handles and surfaces.
Tables, chairs and door handles will be sanitised regularly – if room set-up is to be completed by the Allendale Centre, sanitisation of all tables and chairs to be used will be completed after set-up ready for use.
Airflow – subject to weather conditions, we would ask that all external doors and / or windows to a room remain open for the duration of all booked session.
A clear screen is in place at reception desk to protect our staff and volunteers.
As the Minster Market is being organised and managed by the WDCA, there will be additional areas of consideration within the Market while we remain under government guidance and social distancing.
Social distancing – the stall layout has been created to ensure social distancing can be observed throughout the Market. There is a 2m wide walkway through the centre of the Market, and a further 1m space between the walkway and the front of each stall. There is also a minimum of 1m gap between the ends of each stall.
Each stall holder will have an allocated entry and exit point for their stall.
A volunteer will be present to manage entry to the Market, if necessary, to avoid excessive queuing and overcrowding of the rooms.
All stall holders will be required to provide hand sanitiser on their stalls and ask people to utilise it before moving to the next stall.
