Covid-19 Considerations
We all need to play our part, to keep us all safe. Here are some of the measures in place at the Allendale, relevant to the Minster Market:
-
Single public entry point – public entry to the Market is via the main front entrance.
-
Face coverings mandatory, unless someone has an exemption.
-
Hand sanitiser – there's a sanitising stand at the entrance and everyone is strongly encouraged to use this.
-
One-way system – signed one-way system to help with social distancing and avoid pinch points.
-
Signage – 'Keep your distance' etc. signage throughout the building.
-
Toilets – each block of toilets has a lock on the main door and is accessible by one person at a time. Within each block there's a dedicated female and a dedicated male cubicle. Where multiple sinks are in the toilet block only one is available, to allow focused cleaning.
-
General cleaning - the Centre is cleaned daily, with antibacterial products used throughout.
-
Tables, chairs and door handles sanitised regularly – once tables and chairs are set up, they're sanitised ready for use.
-
Airflow – subject to weather conditions, we aim to have room windows and doors open for airflow, with heating in the colder months.
-
A screen is used at Reception to protect our staff and volunteers.
-
A volunteer is present to manage entry to the Market, if necessary, to avoid excessive queuing or crowding.
