If you're presenting an event that requires ticketing, there are a number of options

You can:

  • handle all advance and on the door (OTD) ticketing yourself

  • supply paper tickets to us, to sell at Reception*

  • ask us to sell tickets through Ticketsource*, allowing customers to book online (small booking fee payable by the customer) or to book in person at the Allendale (no booking fee, cash and card payments accepted)

  • sell some tickets and ask us to sell some for you* - as long as we agree numbers so that we don't sell over capacity

(*Fees apply - see below. Please note that we cannot take payment for tickets over the phone)

Before tickets go on sale, you need to think about...

  • seating layout (if appropriate): in the Minster Hall and Quarter Jack Hall, the main options are theatre, herringbone, cabaret, thrust, in-the-round, boardroom or banqueting style

  • total number of tickets for sale - capacity will depend on seating/tables/any other furniture on the floor

  • allocated seating (seats numbered) or unallocated (seats not numbered)?

  • different prices for adult, child (under 16) and concession (usually over 60)?

  • Early Bird prices, i.e. reduced prices if booked by a certain date?

We can advise further, but it's worth thinking about these options in advance.

Fees

Initial set up fee £10, to cover the admin cost of creating and launching the ticket sales on Ticket Source and linking to website/social media etc.

Commission of 7.5% is charged on all ticket sales (excluding contract-agreed theatre shows which may be different; please enquire).

Please note the following information, displayed to customers on our Tickets page.
