What events can you hold at the Allendale now?

The Covid situation has affected some one-off and regular events, though many events can proceed without a problem. The Allendale is a Covid-safe venue; measures in place include:

  • Supply of hand sanitiser as people enter

  • Use of face coverings by everyone, unless an exemption applies

  • Taking of names & contact details on entry to events (or use of the Test & Trace QR posters)

  • One way systems and different entry/exit points for different rooms

  • Good ventilation (plus heating in the colder weather)

  • Regular cleaning/sanitisation throughout the Centre

  • Social distancing considerations for different events

  • Entry control to avoid crowding, where necessary

Covid restrictions can change and we’ll endeavour to update this page as required.

Here’s a guide; if you’re still in doubt please get in touch and we’ll try to help further.

Events that can generally go ahead include:

  • Organised exercise/fitness/sports classes

  • Training/education/work-related events

  • Health-related events, including blood donation sessions

  • Markets and fairs including food, antique and craft markets/fairs – these are similar to going to a shop

  • Talks/lectures, if the audience are socially distanced from each other and the speaker(s)

  • Live entertainment, including music, with social distancing for performers and audience

  • Wedding and funeral-related events – subject to capacity limits at the time

This is a general guide only; please contact us with any enquiries.
