Banner advertising for events and hires at the Allendale, Wimborne. Outdoor banners Roadside frames by Hanham Road For regular (weekly/monthly) hires: We can display your banner, on rotation with other regular hire banners. These are usually placed on the rear of the roadside frame. Required banner size is 5ft wide (left to right) x 3ft high (top to bottom) (152cm x 91cm) . For other locations, maximum size is 5ft wide (left to right) x 3ft high (152cm x 91cm) . We will mount the banner for you. For events: Event banners can also be displayed, when space allows. R equired banner size is 5ft wide (left to right) x 3ft high (top to bottom) (152cm x 91cm) . These are displayed facing Hanham Road, whenever possible. We will mount the banner for you. Charges: There is no charge to display one banner on the roadside frames, when space allows. Displaying a second banner (likely to be on the Café railings or fence) attracts a charge of £6 per week. Roof banner A banner mounted on the frame above our front doors needs to be: 3ft 5in wide x 5ft high (104cm x 152cm) . We recommend a mesh banner or one with wind flaps, to cope with the wind. This is a prime display location and can be a very effective way to promote your event. Roof banner display fees: £30 per week or £100 per calendar month. We will mount the supplied banner on the frame but please check the space is available before ordering a banner. We're often looking for volunteers to help day-to-day. Read this page and get in touch if you'd like to help! Volunteering at the Allendale Allendale Community Centre is run by a small team of employees, greatly assisted by a number of volunteers. We’re often looking for extra volunteers to help out – could that include you? Meeting people If you enjoy meeting and helping people both on the phone and face to face, maybe you’d like working on our busy reception desk where there’s always plenty to keep you occupied. Would that interest you? Why not pop in and do a trial morning with us? On with the show With a huge increase in the number of theatre shows, live bands and films on offer at the Centre, we’re always looking for people to greet theatregoers and check their tickets. Your reward would be free entry to the show! Practical & Technical If you prefer something more practical or physical, we can use your skills for setting up rooms, light maintenance, or gardening around the Centre. If you have sound or lighting skills then maybe you could assist backstage in the Minster Theatre. Catering Café @ the Allendale and Wimborne Community Food Supply, based at the Centre, are often looking for volunteers – contact us to find out more. Why volunteer at the Allendale? It’s a lovely place to work, everyone’s friendly, you get to meet new people, it’s an opportunity to socialise, and you get a great sense of satisfaction! Vehicle access and parking at the Allendale, Wimborne. Location & vehicle access: We're on Hanham Road, Wimborne (BH21 1AS), opposite The Olive Branch pub and next door to Allendale House. By the pedestrian crossing you'll see an entrance that leads to Allendale House (East Dorset Heritage Trust) car park and then, through gates that are normally open, into our car park. Delivering: Pull into our car park and go to Reception, inside the front entrance (unless you have a different instruction from The Allendale Café). Unloading: If you're unloading, e.g. to trade at a market or craft fair etc., you may unload in our car park. It's then preferable to park in adjacent Allenview car park: turn left back onto Hanham Road, left at the 2nd roundabout, then left into the public car park. At the end of the event you're welcome to return to our car park to load up. Parking (Sunday to Thursday): If you're attending an event at the Allendale or using facilities including The Allendale Café, you're welcome to use our car park if a space is available. Please do not park in the 'Staff Only' bays, or a disabled bay unless you have an entitlement. If there's no space available, please use adjacent Allenview car park (free after 6pm): turn left back onto Hanham Road, left at the 2nd roundabout, then left into the public car park.
