Wimborne Gardening Club is a thriving club with around 70 members, launched in 2023, following the demise of the former Wimborne Horticultural Society whose roots have been traced back to 1856. We began as an “Evening WI” but after Covid changed to “Mornings” which better suits our Members. We also changed our name to “Wimborne Minster WI”. We meet in the Catholic Church Hall, Lewens Lane at 0950 on the 3rd Monday of the month. The WI was formed to “Educate and Support Women of all ages”. We welcome new members with fresh ideas and skills so please feel free to come along and join us at one of our meetings.

Picture and audio quality will depend on laptop, webcam and microphone quality, plus stable internet connection at the remote end. We're delighted to debut our in-house production company, Allendale Theatre Company . Our first production is a revival of the classic BBC radio show, Round The Horne , performed live in the style of a radio recording (script-in-hand). We have performances on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September , with a brilliant cast lined up to portray Kenneth Horne, Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick, Betty Marsden and Douglas Smith (also featuring live musicians). Each performance features a different script, with different sketches and running order. There's a small amount of intentional overlap between the two performances - approximately 10% - where selected material appears in both. Tickets now available for individual dates, or join us on both days so you don't miss out - and receive a FREE souvenir programme . Just book Saturday & Sunday tickets, present both at the first show and you'll receive your programme! Not suitable for young children. For regular (weekly/monthly) hires: We can display your banner, on rotation with other regular hire banners. These are usually placed on the rear of the roadside frame. Required banner size is 5ft wide (left to right) x 3ft high (top to bottom) (152cm x 91cm) . For other locations, maximum size is 5ft wide (left to right) x 3ft high (152cm x 91cm) . We will mount the banner for you. For events: Event banners can also be displayed, when space allows. R equired banner size is 5ft wide (left to right) x 3ft high (top to bottom) (152cm x 91cm) . These are displayed facing Hanham Road, whenever possible. We will mount the banner for you. Charges: There is no charge to display one banner on the roadside frames, when space allows. Displaying a second banner (likely to be on the Café railings or fence) attracts a charge of £6 per week. Roof banner A banner mounted on the frame above our front doors needs to be: 3ft 5in wide x 5ft high (104cm x 152cm) . We recommend a mesh banner or one with wind flaps, to cope with the wind.
