Dorset Team Spring Fair 2024
Saturday 4th May, 10am - 4pm FREE ENTRY
Bringing together some of the best makers and sellers from across Dorset for the Dorset Team Spring Fair. There will be 60+ stalls by local makers and creatives set over two rooms of the Allendale Centre with crafts, handmade products, vintage, crafting supplies and more. Our events are curated events to ensure a really good variety of stalls. Come and shop small and local and pick up something unique. A really fun day out. Dogs on leads are welcome.

On the Waterfront (PG)

High Contrast Cinema ventures into Oscar territory with the multi-award-winning On the Waterfront. Marlon Brando took home the Best Actor statuette for his portrayal of Terry Malloy, an ex-prizefighter who finds himself reluctantly drawn into taking a stand amongst violence and corruption on the New Jersey docklands. A timeless classic with Brando’s performance in particular still resonating, often cited as a sea change moment in the craft of screen acting.
On the Waterfront is rated PG for mild violence, sex references and language.
Rock 'n' Roll Up
Saturday 11th May, 7pm
Join us for a great evening of LIVE MUSIC and help make a difference to the lives of local children. Featuring Nick Capaldi, The Danny Salamander Band and Route 66, with special guest host Richard Digance. Raising funds for Dorset Children's Foundation.
Accessible and inclusive event with raised platform viewing for wheelchair users. This show is otherwise mostly standing, with limited number of chairs.

Time is running out for Little Grimley amateur dramatic society. With the threat of having to disband due to dwindling attendances, finances and a lack of actors, a dramatic plan of action is needed. Luckily their chairman Gordon has a plan, but what will his cast think? What will the locals think?! Join Gordon, Margaret, Joyce and Bernard in their hour of desperation and need whilst they squabble amongst each other to save their beloved society. Without making a boob of it.

Charity Bingo Night supporting Julia's House
Friday 31st May, 7.30pm
This November, intrepid fundraisers Helen and Lesley will be trekking over 40 miles of inhospitable terrain to Petra, Jordan, with the aim of raising £5800 for their local Julia's House children's hospice. This fun bingo night will help them raise funds for the trip.
A lack of sleep, blisters, extreme heat and basic toilet facilities will be tough, but not as tough as the challenges faced by families every day. This event will help seriously ill children and their families. Fun Bingo prizes - Raffle - Bar open.
This event has cabaret seating, with all players able to face the caller on stage.

A spectacular extravaganza from the iconic era of the 50s & early 60s. An awesome tribute show featuring the music from the biggest legends of Rock 'n' Roll history!
Expect to see tributes to Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran, Roy Orbison, Billy Fury, The Everly Brothers and even a little sprinkle of Johnny Cash thrown in for good measure!

Old Time Music Hall Variety Show

Based on The Good Old Days TV show, with Master of Ceremonies Michael Rustici using many long words to introduce the acts. A good selection of performers - dancing, singing and comedy - including The Polly Morris Band. Some well known old songs to singalong with too, some with words in the programme, so do come along and settle in at your chosen table with a glass of wine or beer, or indeed a tea or coffee.

Circus Berzercus visit with their fantastic family show, A Komedy of Errors.
Starring Gerald the gentleman juggler – precise, short tempered and vain, and Wallace the circus trainee – inexperienced, irreverent and childlike. When Gerald’s juggling partner walks out on him, he asks the agency to find a suitable replacement. Enter Wallace... cue chaos. With Wallace around, Gerald will need all his years of showbusiness experience to keep the show on track!

A Boogie, Swing and Jive outfit of seven, each one a star performer. Always popular with their audiences and in hot demand everywhere - there's never a quiet spell when these boys are on stage, and they're a dancer’s dream. Swing Jive – Lindy Hop – Jump ‘n’ Wail - Jitterbug ‘n’ Boogie - anything hot!
The band is supported on the ‘decks’ by hot veteran DJ ‘Young’ Peter, who's been Jockin’ around the country since the 70s.

The authentic and approved sound of classic 70s QUO! In answer to overwhelming support, former members of John Coghlan’s Quo Mick Hughes, Rick Chase, Pete Mace and Russ Chadd have reformed under the name of QUO CONNECTION.
JCQ, featuring ex-Status Quo drummer John Coghlan had been in existence for twenty-five years in various forms, and their final gig with John Coghlan on the 24th of September 2022 was quite aptly played at Butlin’s in Minehead where the Quo story first began. Playing many of Quo’s hits plus some incredible album tracks, Quo Connection are eager to bring their high-octane show to you!

Punks and Rockers Unite To Honour Friend’s Memory in aid of Cancer Research UK for the fourth year…. Faren 'Fazza' Short was obsessed with music and particularly live music, attending thousands of gigs throughout his life, supporting national and local bands. Faren died in 2021 after a brave and dignified battle with cancer; his legacy is one big party to celebrate his life, featuring bands that Faren himself we believe would have approved of.
